This role will support planning and coordination efforts as directed by the Assistant Department Head of the Mathematics Department. Opportunities to Contribute Performs administrative duties as assigned by the Assistant Department Head of the Mathematics Department. Collaborates with and supports the incoming Director of the AP Institute in Mathematics and Computer Science to ensure a smooth leadership transition. Assists in preparation and planning efforts for the Institute’s upcoming fiscal year. Develops agendas and coordinates activities aligned with the goals and strategic priorities of the AP Institute in Mathematics and Computer Science at Texas A&M University. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Two years of experience providing professional development and mentoring faculty. A well-qualified candidate for this position will also possess: Knowledge of AP Institute in Mathematics and Computer Science at TAMU. Desire and ability to mentor instructors short term. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Ability to assist with the preparation for the Institutes next year. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
