Occasionally, oversees and mentors the activities of a Maintenance Laborer. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics. Documents and keeps records of assigned maintenance functions. Adheres to all company safety policies, procedures and responsibilities concerning accident prevention including reporting any safety concerns to a supervisor immediately. General maintenance: Performs maintenance and repairs on major system breakdowns, diagnosing problem(s). Performs preventive maintenance to keep locks and locking devices in functional and safe operating condition. Installs and/or repairs carpet and vinyl flooring. Electrical: Repairs, replaces and performs preventive maintenance on all motors, panels and electrical equipment. Replaces burned out light bulbs, checks electrical circuits, repairs dimmers, refrigeration controls and contacts. Carpentry/Drywall/Painting: Repairs furniture, doors, windows, slot machine stands, gambling tables and millwork. Fabricates office partitions, doors, counters, panel walls, and ceilings. Plumbing: Installs, connects, and tests sanitary plumbing fixtures, fire sprinklers, hydraulics, refrigeration, various gas, steam and other pressure systems. HVAC: Handles regular preventive maintenance of all HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Operates Energy Management systems. Ensures safe, efficient operation of all equipment relevant to boilers, chillers, pumps, life safety equipment, air handlers and emergency generators. Kitchen Equipment: Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all industrial kitchen equipment. Performs maintenance and repairs on kitchen equipment by diagnosing problem(s) and determining the best course of action to achieve the repair. Examples of equipment include, but are not limited to: reach in refrigerators, ice machines, stand mixers, fryers, proofers, etc. Responsible for maintaining, a physical inventory of all kitchen equipment including its location, disposition, maintenance records, warranty information and eventual disposal. Works with leadership, purchasing and accounting to recommend capital expenditure items for the budgetary process. Responsible for the coordination and overseeing execution of the installation of new kitchen equipment. Working with vendors to ensure all equipment is completely installed and properly working prior to the vendor leaving property. Handling communication between the vendor and the culinary staff as well as stewarding team to make sure the outlet is aware and ready for the installation as well as cleaned up afterwards. Communication of any pertinent equipment information to the culinary staff that may be needed for the safe and proper use of the equipment Education and/or Experience Must have a valid Arizona Drivers license and must meet MVR requirements to be authorized to operate a company vehicle. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. 1 year work experience in at least 1 trade required; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificate or vocational education diploma preferred. Other Qualifications Must be able to work harmoniously with co-workers and develop teamwork. Must present a well- groomed appearance. Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
