TalentSource360 is assisting another client in the technology sector with a critical hire at the Controller level. For this hire, we are seeking a highly skilled Controller to join a private equity owned technology company as they go through a period of rapid growth and transformation.
Position: Corporate Controller

This leader will oversee all accounting operations, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial results, and drive best-in-class processes across the organization. The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, proven experience within the software development industry, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, data-driven, and execution-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting functions, including general ledger, revenue accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll accounting, and treasury activities.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial statements.
- Manage revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, including contract review, performance obligation evaluation, and ongoing monitoring.
- Oversee financial reporting, delivering high-quality internal and external reports, dashboards, and analyses for executive leadership and private equity stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures to support scalability, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Sales Operations, Legal, and Customer Success to ensure proper contract setup, billing, and forecasting alignment.
- Lead system enhancements and oversee accounting technology, with a strong emphasis on optimizing Sage Intacct and related integrations.
- Support annual audit processes, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Develop, mentor, and grow the accounting team, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, including M&A integration, process automation, and scaling financial operations.
Required Qualifications
- CPA license is required.
- 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a software or SaaS oriented environment.
- Strong technical accounting background, including hands-on ASC 606 revenue recognition experience.
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct and familiarity with related finance systems and integrations.
- Experience in a private equity–backed or high-growth technology company strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and drive process improvement.
- Excellent communication and business partnering skills; able to translate accounting concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Salary : $170,000 - $190,000
