As the VP of Human Resources, you'll help shape the company's strategic direction and have a direct impact on the success of both employees and the communities served.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-state HR strategy aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on labor law, workforce risk, organizational design, and change management.
- Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including healthcare-specific regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Oversee implementation and governance of HR policies, handbooks, and procedures to promote consistency and reduce risk.
- Lead internal audits, investigations, and responses to regulatory agencies, partnering with legal counsel as needed.
- Enhance employee relations and manage performance frameworks for corporate and administrative staff, ensuring productive and compliant work environments.
- Direct recruitment, onboarding, retention, and engagement initiatives that drive workforce performance and inclusive culture.
- Design and manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and develop the HR team, setting clear expectations, fostering professional growth, and championing ethical leadership and compliance.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification
- Minimum 7–15 years of progressive HR leadership, including multi-state employment law and compliance experience
- Deep knowledge of federal, state, and healthcare-related labor/employment laws
- Demonstrated ability to oversee HR policies, audits, investigations, and legal matters in a complex, regulated environment
- Proven track record in designing compensation, benefits, and performance management systems
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and change management skills
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Master’s degree or Juris Doctor (JD)
- Experience in home health care or similarly regulated industries
- Background conducting compensation research and pay equity analyses
- Experience building HRIS systems and supporting multi-state operations
- Strong background in employee engagement, retention, and organizational culture initiatives
