As a Revenue Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, driving process improvement, and collaborating across departments in a modern and fast-paced environment based in Maitland, Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and analyze all aspects of healthcare revenue accounting, including monitoring gross revenue, contractual discounts, denials, and bad debt reserves.
- Lead the month-end close process by compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare accurate financial statements and schedules.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Perform detailed monthly balance sheet analyses and explain variances.
- Monitor fiscal controls and promptly communicate discrepancies to management.
- Establish and maintain fixed asset schedules for monthly depreciation.
- Oversee payroll monitoring and reporting.
- Actively participate in annual financial audits, preparing and explaining schedules as needed.
- Analyze and report expenditure variances compared to budget and trends.
- Complete special projects as assigned while meeting routine deadlines.
- Build and foster productive relationships with field and other departments.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard business operations.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, healthcare revenue cycle processes, and revenue recognition.
- Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements and reports in a healthcare or medical practice setting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems such as Great Plains.
- Experience managing month-end close, audits, and financial analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Supervisory experience in an accounting team or department.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- CPA certification or relevant professional credential.
- Experience with FRX software, SQL Server, Tableau, PowerBI, or Google Office suite products.
- AI tools experience, such as Claude for Excel or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of medical practice revenue cycle nuances, including grant compliance.
- Ability to handle confidentiality, discretion, and demonstrate integrity in sensitive financial operations.
- Successful completion of extensive background check procedures.
