Job description:
We are looking for someone to join our Winter Park CPA firm. We are a family oriented firm that focuses on a work life balance. We have a wide variety of clients from simple individuals to complex corporations allowing you to gain expertise in multiple areas. We put an emphasis on professional education, training and self-improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the go-to resource for research, technical and reporting issues for clients
- Identify and assist with implementation of tax planning and tax saving strategies
- Represent clients before the IRS and state tax authorities
- Review Corporate, Partnership, Individual, Trust and Estate tax returns
- Manage multiple tax engagements and supervise staff
- Manage tax compliance engagements
- Review Payroll and Bookkeeping using Quickbooks desktop and Quickbooks online
Experience, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Active CPA certification
- 10 years of public accounting experience
- Proficient with tax software such as Thomsen Reuters or similar. Proficeincy in UltraTax, FileCabinet, Practice CS is preferred.
- Experience with tax planning for business transactions, including shareholder transactions
- Significant track record of mentoring, coaching, training and developing tax professionals
