Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain accurate, efficient, and user-friendly SSRS reports and sub-reports.
- Optimize and manage SQL scripts, views, stored procedures, and functions for performance and reliability.
- Implement and oversee SQL Server Agent jobs, ensuring automated database tasks run efficiently and error-free.
- Monitor and tune SQL Server query performance, indexing, and troubleshoot database issues.
- Lead initiatives related to data quality, integrity, and governance, delivering accurate reporting outputs.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to define and deliver analytics solutions.
- Participate in data modeling, ETL design, and BI solution architecture for advanced analytics projects.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database objects, reporting solutions, and internal processes.
- Mentor junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices across the IT team.
- Evaluate new SQL Server and BI technologies, recommending improvements and enhancements.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of professional experience in SQL Server development, database administration, and BI analytics.
- Proven expertise in SSRS report development, including complex sub-reports, drill-through, and parameterized reports.
- Strong proficiency in writing, optimizing, and maintaining complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions.
- Experience managing SQL Server Agent jobs and scheduled automation tasks.
- Deep knowledge in database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience in ETL, data integration, and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Domo or other BI visualization tools.
- Knowledge of SSIS, Azure Data Services, or cloud-based SQL platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile development and project management methodologies.
- Advanced certifications such as Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Development/Administration.
- Exposure to big data, machine learning, or advanced analytics initiatives.
