Our client is seeking an Associate Vice President, IT Operations, Systems & Risk to play a hands-on role supporting enterprise technology, strengthening IT controls, and ensuring operational resilience. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact across IT operations, infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and strategic technology initiatives within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day IT operations, including systems administration, user access management, system monitoring, maintenance, and vendor coordination across enterprise applications and infrastructure.
- Support technology risk management initiatives by maintaining IT controls, preparing risk assessments, assisting with regulatory audits, and ensuring compliance with banking and security frameworks.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to implement and support technology projects, system enhancements, and infrastructure initiatives.
- Maintain IT documentation, policies, system inventories, and operational procedures to support governance and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure operational resilience.
- Provide end-user technical support, including hardware and software troubleshooting, onboarding/offboarding, and issue resolution across the organization.
Must-Have Skills:
- 7 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, and technology risk.
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft-based environments and enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of FFIEC, NIST, or similar IT governance and security frameworks.
- Experience with user access management, change management, and operational IT controls.
- Understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery (BCP/DR) principles.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a hands-on, lean IT environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience working within a community bank, credit union, or other regulated financial institution.
- Experience supporting IT audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance initiatives.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft, ITIL, Security , CISA, or similar.
