Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Lead Advisor to join our fast-growing team. As a Lead Advisor, you will be a primary point of contact for our clients, responsible for delivering our signature "Wealth Designed" financial planning experience. You will lead client meetings, develop sophisticated financial plans, and manage the end-to-end implementation and monitoring of tailored wealth solutions.
While this is a fully remote position, we are looking for candidates located in the Southern California area to facilitate occasional in-person client meetings or team collaboration. This role is ideal for a high-impact professional who thrives in a collaborative, ensemble-based firm and is passionate about putting our clients' best interests first.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary advisor for a dedicated group of clients, conducting regular review meetings and providing proactive, high-touch service.
- Financial Plan Development: Lead the creation of comprehensive financial plans, incorporating tax strategy, retirement planning, and estate considerations.
- Implementation & Monitoring: Execute and monitor investment and planning solutions, ensuring all recommendations are implemented accurately across custodial platforms.
- Technical Analysis: Utilize advanced planning tools for tax analysis and portfolio risk assessment to deliver data-driven advice.
- Social Security & Retirement Strategy: Leverage specialized software to model Social Security claiming strategies and other retirement-specific income solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Financial Planning and other cross-functional teams (Operations, Tax, and Marketing) to drive high-quality client outcomes.
Qualifications
- Credentials: CFP® certification is highly preferred, though we are open to equivalent experience and a commitment to obtaining the designation.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, specifically in a client-facing advisory role within an RIA environment.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficiency with financial planning software (e.g., MoneyGuidePro), custodial platforms (e.g., Fidelity/Schwab), and tax/risk analysis tools (e.g., Holistiplan, Riskalyze) is a strong plus.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to lead client meetings and simplify complex financial concepts into actionable advice.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to build and implement comprehensive plans that align with long-term client goals.
