About Us
We are a fast-growing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) managing approximately $600 million in assets. Our firm delivers a signature financial planning experience Wealth Designed, and we are rapidly scaling our team, systems, and impact. We are seeking a seasoned, strategic, and collaborative Director of Financial Planning to lead this growth with us.
Position Overview
The Director of Financial Planning will take full ownership of our financial planning deliverable, Wealth Designed, while managing a team of Lead Advisors, overseeing our planning processes and tech stack, and collaborating across departments to drive high-quality client outcomes. This is a fully remote leadership position with strong potential for long-term growth and influence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of Wealth Designed, our comprehensive financial planning service
- Manage and mentor our team of Lead Advisors, holding them accountable to planning standards and timelines
- Sit second seat in client meetings as needed and provide backup coverage when advisors are out of the office
- Oversee and optimize our financial planning tech stack and workflow processes
- Serve as a key liaison between the Financial Planning department and Operations, Sales, and Technology teams
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to develop financial planning-related content (e.g., articles, videos, webinars)
- Ensure high-quality, scalable, and compliant planning processes across the firm
Qualifications
- CFP® certification required
- Master’s in Financial Planning or related field is a strong plus
- 7 years of experience in financial planning, including team leadership and client service
- Deep knowledge of planning tools such as MoneyGuidePro, Orion, Riskalyze, Holistiplan, etc.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead remote teams and collaborate across functions
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $125,000 – $150,000, depending on experience
