What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Marketing position at Talent?
Our client, a well-funded Series B Wealth Tech, is searching for their very first Head of Marketing to join them and help jumpstart their next phase of growth. They have a solid foundation and brand presence, but are looking for a true leader to step in and help them execute their overall growth strategy!

Responsibilities
- Build, own, and scale a performance marketing engine—across channels like paid social, paid search, programmatic, and other digital platforms
- Develop, execute, and optimize growth playbooks to drive direct-to-consumer acquisition
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing spend with business goals and revenue targets
- Explore and test offline acquisition strategies, including direct mail—a channel they're eager to develop
- Operate with autonomy: you’ll strategize, execute, and analyze, not just delegate
- Work with large datasets and performance metrics to drive decisions and report on outcomes
Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience in growth or performance marketing roles
- Proven track record of scaling marketing budgets in a high-growth startup environment
- Experience in direct-to-consumer industries — insurance, healthcare, digital-first consumer products, etc
- Deep expertise in digital acquisition channels; direct mail experience is a strong plus
- Comfortable being a “doer” first — execution > delegation
- Strong analytical acumen; familiarity with big data, attribution, and optimization frameworks
- Bonus: experience in fintech or working with regulated products
