Our client seeks a proactive leader to oversee their skilled trades associates, focusing on the maintenance of buildings, grounds, utilities, and manufacturing equipment. This role demands innovative problem-solving, standardization of maintenance systems, and driving cost-effective solutions.
- Plan and dispatch resources effectively for maintenance and facilities, including skilled trade, utility, janitorial, and preventive maintenance associates.
- Collaborate to identify and deploy practical repair and maintenance solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in areas such as repair part reduction, PM optimization, and utility usage.
- Implement structured business systems to streamline work planning and resource dispatch.
- Ensure team members meet training requirements and are adequately trained.
- Conduct administrative tasks including performance reviews, associate development planning, and resource planning.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and eliminate equipment breakdowns.
- Utilize lean concepts and industry benchmarks to simplify maintenance operations.
This position may involve supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, training, setting objectives, and addressing associate issues in collaboration with human resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or Skilled Trades Journeyman Certification.
- 10 years of experience in a technical leadership role, preferably with union skilled trades.
- Experience in facility transfer or closure.
- Hands-on experience in process repair, improvement, and project planning.
- Knowledge of hazardous waste handling, HAZMAT, and OSHA requirements.
- Strong data analysis and communication skills.
- Project management experience in a team environment.
