We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment, systems and repairs. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal facility operations. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial and residential properties.
- Troubleshoot, Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure proper functioning of automated systems
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance history
- Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Repair or replace components such as motors, pumps, valves, wiring, and control panels
- Perform home improvement tasks including carpentry, drywall, painting, door knobs and more
- Use field service techniques to diagnose issues on-site and implement effective solutions
- Operate equipment such as scissor lifts safely to access elevated areas for maintenance tasks
- Follow safety protocols related to high voltage systems and industrial mechanics
- Document maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS system
- Collaborate with engineering teams on projects involving schematics interpretation and system analysis
Experience
- Proven industrial mechanic or maintenance experience within a manufacturing facility environment
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems including industrial electrician work, high voltage, low voltage, and field service operations
- Knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding (including welding), and mechanical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and analysis skills
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters for diagnostics
- Prior use of CMMS software for maintenance management is preferred
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Military background or experience in industrial maintenance roles is advantageous but not required
