JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary: Under the direction of the Facilities
Manager, the Facilities Technician is a skilled maintenance professional
responsible for comprehensive upkeep, repair, and preventative
maintenance of all facilities, equipment, and systems. This role demands
a strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, with
advanced troubleshooting and repair capabilities. The ideal candidate
has prior experience in a true maintenance or field service role such as
electrician, HVAC technician, small engine technician, or previous
experience as a facilities maintenance technician, not just basic or
Incidental Maintenance Tasks. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
(This list is not exhaustive and may be expanded as needed) Perform
skilled repairs and maintenance on building systems, including
electrical wiring, motors, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment. Conduct
detailed troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify root causes of
equipment failures and implement effective repairs. Execute preventative
maintenance (PM) on all facility equipment and systems per schedule.
Fabricate and repair mechanical components as necessary. Safely operate
and maintain various hand and power tools, as well as heavy equipment
including forklifts, scissor lifts, plow trucks, and Skid steers.
Perform HVAC maintenance and repairs with a solid understanding of
system components and controls. Maintain compliance with all OSHA safety
regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Support
facility groundskeeping and seasonal maintenance tasks, including snow
removal and landscape upkeep, as needed. Collaborate with Facilities
Manager and team to prioritize work orders, focusing on safety-critical
repairs. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical
manuals. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required
Experience & Qualifications: Proven experience (3 years preferred) in a
skilled maintenance role, such as electrician, HVAC technician, small
engine mechanic, field service technician, or facilities maintenance
technician. Solid hands-on knowledge of electrical systems (including
wiring, motors, controls), mechanical systems, HVAC, and hydraulics.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across multiple technical
disciplines. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices,
including LOTO. Valid Wisconsin Driver\'s License (must-have). Ability
to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls as needed. Strong
communication skills, both written and verbal. Physically able to lift
up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions (extreme heat,
cold, humidity). High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification in electrical, HVAC, or
mechanical trades. Experience with welding and fabrication. Snow plowing
