Job Title: Entry-Level Machine Operator / Inspector – Plastics Manufacturing
Location: Rockford, MI
Job Type: 3rd shift 10pm-8am Sunday-Wednesday
Pay: $16/hr
Job Summary:
We are looking for motivated and reliable Entry-Level Machine Operators/Inspectors to join our growing plastics manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clean, fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to producing high-quality parts.
Responsibilities:
- Operate plastic molding or extrusion machines under the supervision of experienced staff
- Inspect plastic parts for quality and consistency using visual and basic measurement tools
- Trim, sort, and package finished products according to customer and production specifications
- Monitor machines for proper function and report any issues to supervisors or maintenance staff
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality control standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift
- Accurately complete production and inspection documentation
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- No prior experience needed – training will be provided
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn machine operation and quality inspection techniques
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with repetitive tasks
