Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design and develop custom machinery and surface finishing systems for industrial applications. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom machinery, automation equipment, and surface finishing systems
- Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and assemblies using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Develop bills of materials (BOMs) and support manufacturing documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, controls, and project management
- Conduct design reviews and implement improvements for performance, cost, and manufacturability
- Support equipment builds, testing, and troubleshooting during commissioning
- Interface with customers to understand project requirements and provide technical support
- Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2 years of experience in machine design, custom automation, or industrial equipment
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Experience with BOMs, GD&T, and design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in surface finishing systems, fluid handling, or industrial automation
- Familiarity with robotics, conveyors, or material handling systems
- Hands-on experience supporting builds or working on the shop floor
