Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team in Wyoming, MI. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial and commercial electrical systems and automation equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and experienced working in manufacturing and industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, control panels, conduit, and wiring.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, motors, PLC-controlled equipment, and automated machinery.
- Install and terminate panels, transformers, VFDs, sensors, and instrumentation devices.
- Perform conduit bending and installation including EMT, rigid, and flexible conduit.
- Test electrical systems and components using meters and diagnostic tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance and identify potential electrical issues before failures occur.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with NEC codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and customers on project progress and repairs.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas and accurate service documentation.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
- 3 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and industrial controls.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Experience with PLCs, automation systems, and motor controls is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred.
