What you’ll be doing
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team ) across:
- Project accounting
- Payroll
- Controllers
- Pre-construction finance
Oversee the financial operations of multiple active projects nationwide, ensuring:
- Accurate project costing and revenue recognition
- Timely and precise financial reporting
- Strong cost controls and margin visibility
Serve as a key business partner to leadership, providing insights on:
- Project performance
- Budget vs. actuals
- Operational efficiency and profitability
Oversee and support:
- Payroll processes and compliance
- Contract and financial compliance (including government-related work where applicable)
- Cross-functional coordination between accounting, operations, and project teams
- Partner closely with the President and senior leadership team, gaining visibility into broader business decisions and growth initiatives
What they’re looking for
- 3–7 years of experience in finance
- Background in construction or project-based accounting strongly preferred
- Experience managing or mentoring a team (or ready to step into leadership)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Someone who is hands-on, adaptable, and a strong team fit
