What You’ll Do
As a Industrial Automation Sales Representative, you will be the first voice and face of the company's growth engine:
Your Mission
- Identify new business opportunities across manufacturing, food & beverage, steel, oil & gas, and automotive.
- Prospect through cold calling, targeted email outreach, LinkedIn, trade shows, and industry events.
- Give high-value prospects a clear, compelling explanation of how predictive maintenance saves millions by avoiding machine failures.
- Run the first two sales meetings, then tag in a Senior Sales Executive to close.
- Build a strong pipeline using CRM-driven processes.
- Prepare quotes and proposals using company templates.
- Travel 25–30% across the U.S. (with occasional Canada trips).
- Represent the company at 3–4 major industry trade shows each year.
- Build trust-based relationships with engineers, plant managers, and operations leaders.
- Strategically plan multi-stop client routes and site visits.
You will have a high volume of inbound marketing-generated leads, paired with strong tools, training, and support.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree ideal (Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related)
- Strong outbound sales skills: cold calls, email, LinkedIn prospecting
- Experience selling industrial, technical, engineering, or SaaS solutions (big plus)
- Curiosity to learn sensors, AI, and predictive maintenance concepts
- Ability to own a territory, run meetings, and speak with decision-makers
- Comfortable traveling to customer sites and trade events
- Strong communication consultative sales ability
Compensation
Competitive and rewarding:
- Base Salary: $90,000 (open to higher for strong candidates)
- Commission: 20% performance-based
- OTE: ~$108,000 minimum; top performers earn significantly more
- Deal Size: Typically $3,000–$5,000/month recurring
