A leading Mortgage REIT is seeking a Counterparty & Credit Risk Director to lead and mature their second line of defense!

📍 Location & 💰 Compensation

• Location: Richmond, VA (Primary).
• Work Model: Hybrid (Tue/Wed/Thu in-office required).
• Base Salary: $175,000 – $225,000.

🛠️ What You’ll Do

• Manage a high-leverage counterparty credit risk program for a $3B market cap balance sheet.
• Lead credit assessments for major Wall Street banks and broker-dealers.
• Represent the firm in high-level lender relationship meetings in NYC.
• Coordinate with Legal on onboarding documentation and master agreements.

✅ Requirements

• 10–15 years in financial services, specifically within counterparty credit risk or risk management.
• "Cycle Experience" is highly valued (must have lived through market events like 2008, 2013, or 2023).
• Deep knowledge of fixed income, MBS, and repo/leveraged financing.
• Low-ego and collaborative, with the confidence to present to senior executives.
