Weβre looking for an Associate Mechanical Engineer who wants to work hands-on with advanced ultrasonic and precision instrumentation systems. In this role, youβll work directly with technicians and engineers to build, test, troubleshoot, and improve complex hardware products.
This position sits at the intersection of engineering and manufacturing, giving you real exposure to how products are designed, assembled, and brought to life.
π Career growth: This role is designed as a 1β2 year path into a Mechanical Design Engineer position.
π What Youβll Do
Hands-On Engineering
β’ Work directly with technicians assembling precision instrumentation
β’ Support prototypes, troubleshooting, and in-process testing
β’ Interpret engineering drawings and design intent
β’ Learn how complex products are manufactured and assembled
Engineering Documentation
β’ Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), work orders, and production documentation
β’ Ensure documentation is complete and ready before release to production
β’ Update assembly travelers, work instructions, and mechanical drawings
β’ Help maintain ISO-9001 compliant documentation
Collaboration
β’ Partner with engineering, production, operations, and quality teams
β’ Help translate engineering designs into manufacturable processes
β’ Ensure documentation is clearly understood on the production floor
β± Typical time split:
β’ 60% hands-on production support
β’ 40% engineering documentation
π― What We're Looking For
Must-Have
β Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
β 0β3 years of engineering experience
β CAD experience (SolidWorks or similar)
β Ability to read mechanical drawings and assemblies
β Interest in hands-on engineering and product builds
β Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment
β Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
β Good communication and teamwork
Nice-to-Have
β ISO-9001 or quality manufacturing exposure
β Experience supporting production builds or manufacturing operations
β Familiarity with GD&T
β Experience with 3D printing, prototyping, or product development
β Background in medical devices, ultrasonic tech, or precision instrumentation

π° Base Salary: $75,000 β $80,000
π Bonus: Profit-sharing program
