Position: Quality Control Technician II
About the Role
Join Amrize as a Quality Control Technician II and contribute to delivering high-quality products on residential and commercial projects. You will perform testing, collect samples, and support quality assurance in production processes, helping maintain consistency and compliance across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect samples and perform quality control tests, providing timely verbal or written results to management and production staff.
- Maintain and manage mix designs in accordance with DOT or local specifications to ensure product accuracy.
- Examine laboratory samples to determine physical properties and ensure conformity with standards.
- Record, analyze, certify, and summarize findings; maintain accurate records in various databases.
- Provide technical support for production, assisting in troubleshooting and quality problem investigations.
- Prepare and present test documentation to production personnel and quality management.
- Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and environmental requirements.
- Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting a culture of safety.
Qualifications
- Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Education: Associate’s degree
- Work Experience: 3–5 years in quality control or related field
- Training/Certifications: State-regulated or industry certifications as required
- Travel Requirements: Approximately 5%
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work various hours including nights and weekends
- Strong math skills, including calculations using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize work effectively
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Adherence to Amrize-approved PPE protocols, including respirators when required (must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests)
