Compensation
$75,000 – $95,000 USD annually
Base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
Sign-On Bonus: Eligible for a one-time $10,000 USD sign-on bonus, subject to applicable terms.
About the Role
We are hiring a Process Engineer I for one of our clients to support operational excellence within a cement manufacturing environment. This role focuses on improving plant performance, advancing process control and automation systems, and supporting environmental and quality compliance initiatives.
The successful candidate will apply a strong foundation in chemical engineering principles, data analysis, and process optimization to drive efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze plant operations and recommend process improvements supported by cost-benefit analysis
- Support the development and implementation of process control automation and related computer-based systems
- Prepare and maintain reports on operational efficiency, process performance, and failure investigations
- Conduct testing and data analysis to evaluate and improve equipment and process performance
- Support compliance with environmental, quality, and operational standards
- Provide training and support to operations teams on SAP, TIS, and other process-related systems
- Assist with implementation of new systems and tools to improve operational data management
- Participate in ISO audits and month-end operational reporting
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies across all work areas
- Perform other duties consistent with the scope of the role
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and exposure to SAP or process reporting systems
Preferred
- Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Experience in cement, heavy industry, or continuous-process manufacturing
- Familiarity with process automation, control systems, and data analysis tools
Travel
- Up to 10% for training, development, or project support
Work Environment & Safety
This role operates in an industrial environment and may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection in certain areas.
