We are hiring for one of our clients a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support operations and sustainability initiatives at a cement manufacturing facility during Summer 2026.
About the Role
This is a paid, full-time temporary internship (10 weeks) designed to provide practical, educational experience in mechanical engineering within an industrial manufacturing environment. The internship runs from May 27 to August 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and support operating procedures and process control activities
- Gain exposure to mechanical, maintenance, and production operations
- Collect and analyze data to support process improvements and capital projects
- Assist with monitoring equipment performance and process parameters
- Contribute to assigned projects with measurable business impact
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Prepare and deliver a summary presentation at the conclusion of the internship
Qualifications
- Enrollment in an undergraduate engineering program (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Mining, or related field) or participation in an accredited internship-eligible academic program
- Foundational understanding of engineering principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
Schedule & Environment
- Schedule: On-site, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
- Environment: Cement manufacturing facility with exposure to industrial equipment, airborne particles, and outdoor conditions
- Travel: Occasional travel for site tours or intern events
- Transportation: Interns are responsible for daily transportation to and from the worksite
