About the Role
We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a Maintenance Mechanical (Millwright) to support plant operations at a cement manufacturing facility. This role focuses on maintaining production and service equipment in a safe, reliable operating condition while working collaboratively within a maintenance team.
All duties are performed in accordance with established safety procedures and plant safety rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair work on plant production and service equipment
- Maintain tools and equipment used within the maintenance department
- Repair and eliminate product spillage and equipment malfunctions
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, skid loaders, and telehandlers (with training as required)
- Use heavy mechanical tools such as chainfalls and come-alongs
- Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Follow standard work instructions to ensure safe and effective equipment utilization
- Support overtime work as operational needs require
- Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of related mechanical, industrial, or maintenance experience (preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to participate in training and skill-development programs for future advancement
- Ability to work in an industrial environment and use required tools and safety equipment
- Ability to meet job-related safety requirements, with reasonable accommodations provided in accordance with applicable laws
