Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Project Manager with hands-on installation experience, particularly in ductless heat pump systems, to lead residential and light commercial projects from start to finish. You will oversee installations, mentor technicians, and deliver excellent service while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about precision, leadership, and customer satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Setup

• Lead installation of ductless heat pump systems
• Place and configure indoor evaporators and outdoor units accurately
• Install refrigerant lines, power feeds, and control wiring per project specifications
• Perform electrical tie-ins including surge protector installations and main panel connections

Maintenance & Repair

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ductless and conventional HVAC systems
• Conduct routine system maintenance, including refrigerant checks and filter replacements
• Replace components and restore systems to optimal operation

Leadership & Project Oversight

• Supervise and mentor junior HVAC technicians on job sites
• Train team members on safety, tools, and techniques
• Coordinate with managers to keep jobs on schedule and within budget

Customer Service & Communication

• Explain system functions and maintenance plans to clients
• Address customer questions and concerns professionally
• Recommend system upgrades or improvements as needed

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all work complies with HVAC codes, electrical standards, and local regulations
• Follow safety protocols related to electrical systems, refrigerants, and elevated work
• Maintain accurate job documentation and service records

Qualifications

• 5 years of HVAC experience with a focus on ductless systems
• HVAC certification required; EPA 608 Universal Certification preferred
• Solid knowledge of HVAC wiring and electrical circuit layouts
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals
• Previous leadership or project management experience in a field setting
• Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments
• Capable of climbing ladders and using hand and power tools safely

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
