About the Role
We are hiring for one of our clients seeking an experienced Fleet Diesel Mechanic to support operations at a ready-mix facility in Tonawanda, NY. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
- Perform repairs and rebuilds of engines, transmissions, and related equipment
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to ensure fleet reliability and safety compliance
- Calibrate and adjust engine controls and emission systems according to manufacturer standards
- Collaborate with maintenance leadership to plan repairs and order required parts
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with OSHA and site safety policies
- Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment
- Strong knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems
- Experience using diagnostic tools and repair software
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Relevant certifications (ASE Diesel or OEM training) preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

- Ability to perform job duties safely in an industrial environment
