About the Role
California Pools is seeking a CAD/Revit Designer to produce high-quality construction documents for commercial pool projects. The role requires translating design concepts into build-ready plans while collaborating with design, project management, and construction teams. Occasional field visits may be required; reasonable accommodations are available for candidates with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce clear and accurate construction documents using CAD and Revit
- Maintain proper line weights, colors, scales, and layers
- Translate pool designs into technically feasible construction plans
- Refine plan sets for usability and presentation
- Collaborate across design, construction, and project teams
- Assist in streamlining drafting processes and developing drafting standards
- Apply field knowledge to ensure designs are practical and constructible
- Perform additional design or technical support as needed
Qualifications
- Strong CAD experience in commercial construction or architectural environments
- Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD; Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Understanding of construction documentation and drafting best practices
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative
- Ability to visualize designs in 3D and produce accurate 2D construction documents
- Associate’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Construction Technology, or related field preferred
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
