SuperintendentReports To: General SuperintendentLeads: Working Foremen, Carpenters, and LaborersRole OverviewThe Superintendent is responsible for leading all on-site construction activities from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to client expectations. This role provides day-to-day field leadership, manages subcontractors and self-perform crews, enforces safety and quality standards, and coordinates closely with the Project Manager and project team.Key ResponsibilitiesSafetyDevelop and implement site-specific safety, logistics, and orientation plansConduct daily safety inspections and enforce corrective actionsMaintain all required safety documentation, licenses, certifications, and SDS information on siteLead toolbox talks and daily stretch-and-flex meetingsEnsure subcontractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirementsEnforce consistent use of PPE and serve as the OSHA competent person as requiredReport and document all jobsite incidents and injuries in a timely mannerQuality ControlVerify installed work aligns with approved submittals and manufacturer requirementsPerform daily inspections of completed workIdentify deficiencies, notify subcontractors, and track corrective actionsCoordinate inspections and act as liaison with inspectors and authoritiesMaintain organized and accessible site documentationPreconstructionAssist with bid schedules, logistics planning, and overall project schedulingReview drawings for constructability and potential value-engineering opportunitiesProvide input on subcontractor performance and sequencingConstruction OperationsCoordinate pre-mobilization activities with the project teamCreate, track, and update three-week look-ahead schedulesMaintain the overall project schedule and ensure work aligns with contract requirementsManage subcontractors according to scope, schedule, and contractual commitmentsSupervise Assistant Superintendents, forepersons, and self-perform crewsComplete accurate daily reports and jobsite documentationCommunicate schedule impacts, scope changes, and performance issues to the Project ManagerAssist with change order management and review time-and-material ticketsCoordinate punch list and closeout activities with the project teamCommunicationParticipate in internal project meetings including kickoff, operations, closeout, and post-project reviewsLead or attend weekly owner, subcontractor, and foreman meetings to coordinate progress and resolve issuesQualifications5 years of experience as a Superintendent on construction projectsExperience managing projects ranging from small renovations to large commercial buildsStrong knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, and safety practicesProficiency with construction management and scheduling softwareOSHA 30 certification preferredStrong organizational, leadership, and communication skillsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsCombination of office and active jobsite environmentsAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, and work outdoors in varying conditionsExposure to typical construction site noise and activity
Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
