What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at Pariseault Builders Inc.?
Pariseault Builders is looking for a talented and experienced Superintendent to provide leadership to field staff in managing construction projects from start to finish in support of Pariseault's vision and strategic goals. In this role, you will oversee field operations relative to safety, quality, pre-construction, and construction operations, while delivering construction projects on-time and on-budget and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Develop safety, logistics, and orientation plans in accordance with the PBI safety program and in partnership with the Dir of Ops
Conduct daily safety inspections and implement corrective measures.
Utilize Procore for safety documentation on a daily basis.
Ensure all licenses, certifications, SDS sheets, and safety plans have been furnished and on site.
Implement toolbox talks.
Enforce consistent use of PPE among employees and subcontractors and lead by example; maintain PPE inventory on site.
Compare all products being installed to the submitted products.
Review installed work daily; Ensure all products are installed per manufacturer guidelines.
Notify subcontractors of any deficiencies in work and track remediation efforts.
Obtain or verify that the subcontractors have all necessary permits and licenses for construction purposes, and act as the liaison for all inspectors
Assist in development of bid schedules
Assist with overall project schedule
Logistics planning
Review drawings for possible VE options
Provide feedback on subcontractor performance as it pertains to the particular project
Connect with Safety Manager on pre-mobilization efforts
Create, track, and update the 3-week look ahead
Manage all Subcontractors based on contractual commitments
Complete daily reports in a thorough and accurate manner
Communicate with PM in a timely manner on added scope or costs
Review documents for constructability and help resolve issues
Assist PM with change order management
Review subcontractor T&M tickets with PM
Create & manage punch list completion with PM team
Communicate internally on project details through recurring meetings to include Estimating Handoff to Construction Operations, Project kickoff, Monthly Operations Meetings, CTCs, Closeout Meetings and Post-Mortem
Communicate with external parties through weekly owner meetings and subcontractor meetings.
Measures Of Success
Projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Zero safety incidents onsite.
Zero punch list items at project turnover.
Daily reports are submitted each day and include accurate and thorough information.
Qualifications
5 years’ experience as a Superintendent on projects ranging from $500,000 - 10 million.
Well versed in a broad range of construction industry sectors preferred.
OSHA 30
Proficiency with MS Office, including basic MS Project etc.
Thorough knowledge of standard methods, equipment, materials, tools, construction trade practices, and occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Familiarity with construction documents and drawings, with knowledge of all phases of construction.
