Payroll Specialist

The Role

This role owns weekly payroll end to end, with a heavy emphasis on prevailing wage compliance and certified payroll reporting across federal, state, and municipal projects. It also carries responsibility for high-volume payment processing on the AP side.

The right person is detail-driven and comfortable with complexity — multiple wage determinations, multiple jurisdictions, multiple job classifications running at the same time. This is not a push-the-button payroll seat.

Payroll Processin

• gProcess all weekly payroll cycles, including both prevailing wage and standard payrol
• lApply correct wage rates based on job classification, project, and jurisdictio
• nCalculate, track, and allocate prevailing wage fringe benefits, whether paid in cash or through benefit
• sProcess payroll deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefit contribution
• sReconcile payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and correct wage issue
• sCoordinate with HR, Finance, and project management to verify hours, job codes, and classification
• sRespond to employee inquiries on pay, deductions, and payroll polic
