Principal Product Engineer - UX / Frontend / DTC

Our client is a fin-tech start-up that partners with small and medium sized businesses to provide financial intelligence and business advisory services. The team is seeking a Principal level product engineer to play a pivotal role in building and growing their platform.

Job Title: Principal Product Engineer

Job Type: Full-time

Location: New York City preferred. Open to fully remote for right candidate. Must be in US and eligible to work for any US employer. No sponsorship can be provided at this time.

Required Technology And Skills

• 10 years of professional experience, with a blend of expertise in consumer product management and frontend engineering
• Expertise in Direct-to-consumer / B2C product development; customer acquisition, funnel optimization, growth, retention / adoption, and improving UX
• Strong ability to own product roadmap, validate ideas, and ship high-impact growth initiatives
• Hands-on experience with Frontend engineering: React, Typescript, Javascript
• Demonstrated experience working in a start-up and successfully scaling a product and delivering tangible business outcomes
• Experience shaping frontend architecture and UX best practices
• Strong AB testing skills and demonstrated experience leading/driving experimentation

• Degree in Computer Science or STEM related field
• Consumer Fin-tech experience
• Start-up experience
• Expertise in DTC / B2C products
• Experience at Lead/Principal/Staff level within product & engineering
  
  

Compensation: $200,000 - $240,000 base salary (Based on experience), significant equity
