The MRI Technologist will be instrumental in performing MRI exams with precision and care, ensuring optimal diagnostic results while maintaining a focus on patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Escort patients to treatment areas, assisting with dressings and addressing patient concerns.
- Complete all necessary documentation for timely service delivery.
- Explain procedures to patients to alleviate concerns and facilitate cooperation.
- Administer I.V. contrast and practice radiation safety measures.
- Assist radiologists with special procedures such as arthrograms.
- Conduct quality control checks, monitor equipment performance, and report malfunctions.
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and patient-centered approach in all interactions.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a recognized technical school or college.
- ARRT (R) and (MR) certification, along with Connecticut licensure.
- At least two years of clinical experience with all MRI procedure types.
- Experience with Siemens or GE MRI systems preferred.
- Ability to operate independently with strong attention to detail and patient safety.
