Responsibilities
- Operate advanced CT imaging equipment with proficiency, ensuring high diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Manage multiple CT components such as power injectors, cardiac monitors, and related devices safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless operation of RIS/PACS systems alongside CT hardware and software.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of CT systems, scheduling maintenance with vendors and service technicians as needed.
- Communicate effectively with referring physicians to understand preferences, interpret requests, and ensure proper delivery of images and reports.
- Screen and prepare patients for CT procedures according to contrast and safety guidelines.
- Seek continuous improvement by utilizing feedback to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.
- Maintain professionalism and compassion when interacting with patients, families, visitors, and colleagues, fostering a respectful and collaborative environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work at various locations and shifts as required, including rotating Saturdays.
- Extensive knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, CT procedures, and 3D reconstruction techniques.
- Demonstrable expertise in operating complex CT scanners and associated equipment.
- Strong understanding of RIS/PACS software applications and integration.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting.
- ARRT (RT)(R) certification, CT State License, and CT Certification are mandatory.
- College degree preferred, with relevant radiologic technology education.
