Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Director in managing the center’s daily operations, ensuring all departmental functions—including Patient Services, Security, School-Based Health, Outreach, and Facilities—operate smoothly and efficiently.
- Supervise department heads and staff, providing leadership and accountability across clinical and administrative teams.
- Lead initiatives to improve patient experience, handle escalated concerns, and develop procedures to ensure compliance with managed care regulations, credentialing, and operational standards.
- Collaborate closely with organizational leadership on strategic projects, staff meetings, and ad hoc committees.
- Oversee external relations, community outreach, and partnerships to elevate the center’s visibility within its service area.
- Manage and support special programs, such as AmeriCorps, ensuring alignment with funder expectations and stakeholder engagement.
- Serve as the center’s Corporate Compliance Officer, participating in risk management and governance activities.
- Act as the operational lead in the absence of the Executive Director, liaising with external agencies, community leaders, and funders as required.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and monitor patient satisfaction efforts and incident management.
- Minimum of 5 years of program and/or administrative oversight within a healthcare or community clinical setting, preferably in an FQHC environment.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience managing diverse operational teams.
- Strong background in healthcare operations, finance, and compliance, especially related to Article 28 FQHC standards.
- Proven ability to handle challenging patient-facing situations with professionalism and tact.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills with a demonstrated customer service focus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Familiarity with managed care regulations, credentialing processes, and program management is essential.
- Ability to respond promptly to organizational needs, anticipate future requirements, and maintain effective office operations.
- Willingness to attend community events, stakeholder meetings, and be "on call" as needed.
