This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to lead impactful fundraising initiatives and foster meaningful connections within New York's Westchester community to support hospital priorities.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of 100-150 individual donors capable of making gifts of $10,000 , focusing on targets of $100k .
- Identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit prospects through personal interactions, guiding them from initial engagement to stewardship.
- Collaborate with physicians and senior leadership to drive grateful patient fundraising opportunities.
- Partner with the Foundation Board of Directors and team members to support cultivation events, with responsibilities including developing guest lists and event briefings.
- Prepare compelling proposals, communications, and stewardship reports that articulate the hospital’s needs and priorities.
- Enter all donor activity into the donor database (RE NXT) promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of hospital programs and capital priorities to effectively communicate funding needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, volunteers, donors, and senior staff.
- Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree preferred.
- 5-10 years of development experience in a non-profit setting, preferably in healthcare.
- Proven track record in donor identification, cultivation, and solicitation with the ability to secure gifts of $10,000 .
- Strong exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Deep understanding of fundraising strategies and best practices, with ability to develop and execute effective programs.
- Knowledge of White Plains Hospital’s mission, goals, and community engagement strategies.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build relationships across organizational levels and with diverse external constituencies.
- Familiarity with the philanthropic culture of Westchester and an appreciation for healthcare’s role in the community.
