Our client, a respected academic medical center renowned for its comprehensive services and patient-centered approach, is hiring a Chief of Breast Surgery. This leadership role is pivotal in advancing the institution’s nationally recognized Breast Center and shaping the future of breast surgical care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Co-Director of the Breast Center, partnering with hospital and medical group leadership to guide clinical, educational, and research initiatives.
• Lead and innovate in breast surgical practices, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, personalized patient care.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Women’s Imaging to co-lead program development and operational excellence.
• Support resident and medical student education, fostering a culture of learning and mentorship.
• Contribute to quality improvement efforts and maintain compliance with accreditation standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and represent the department at institutional and community events.
• 100% breast surgery
• No general surgery call, breast surgery call only
  
  

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certification in general surgery
• Fellowship-trained in breast surgery, with a demonstrated record of clinical excellence and leadership.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on collaborative team building.
• Proven experience in managing or leading surgical teams or departments.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.
