Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management.
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing to ensure product availability and presentation standards are met.
- Conduct employee orientation, training, coaching, and development to enhance team performance and engagement.
- Recruit new team members through effective interviewing and selection processes; manage payroll, scheduling, and shift management.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent phone etiquette and personalized service.
- Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store traffic and sales.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping, budgeting, and retail math calculations to support store financial health.
- Supervise cash handling procedures, pricing strategies, and inventory management systems to optimize store profitability.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, leadership development, and organizational skills among staff.
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail sales or wireless telecommunications environments with assistant manager or supervisory roles preferred.
- Strong background in employee orientation, training & development, recruiting, and performance management.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, sales management, merchandising, inventory control, and store operations.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish; ability to connect with diverse customers and team members effectively.
- Experience with POS systems, payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, retail math, and cash handling is essential.
- Prior experience supervising teams in fast-paced retail settings such as grocery stores or electronics outlets is highly desirable.
