Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of hand tools and power tools to perform mowing, edging, trimming, and general lawn care tasks efficiently.
- Maintain and repair landscaping equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and excavators, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform landscape maintenance activities such as planting, pruning trees and shrubs, mulching, and installing hardscape features.
- Conduct irrigation system checks and repairs to ensure proper watering of lawns and gardens.
- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible.
- Support tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and health assessments to promote healthy growth.
- Collaborate with team members on construction projects involving landscaping or hardscape installations to deliver high-quality results.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain landscaping machinery and tools.
- Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening roles.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant health management.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators for construction or landscaping projects.
- Ability to perform tree trimming, pruning, and tree care safely and effectively.
- Understanding of irrigation systems and their maintenance needs.
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to stand, walk, lift heavy equipment or materials as needed.
