Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to legal professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage confidential information and support daily office operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff.
- Draft, prepare, and distribute professional correspondence, emails, and legal-related documents.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls while providing excellent customer service.
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, meetings, and court-related dates as needed.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain electronic and physical files.
- Organize, scan, copy, and file legal and administrative documents.
- Maintain confidential client information and ensure proper record management.
- Assist with document preparation, recordkeeping, and general office administration.
- Support daily operations by handling incoming and outgoing mail and other administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Prior administrative experience in an office environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience generating professional written correspondence in a previous role.
- Experience answering and managing multiple phone lines in a professional office setting.
- Experience performing data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Previous legal office, government, healthcare, or professional services experience is a plus.
