Clinical Staff Educator

Position Overview

The Clinical Staff Educator supports the Clinical Education Department by providing education, training, and professional development for clinical staff. The role collaborates with nursing leadership, department managers, and the Quality Management team to improve staff competency, patient care quality, and continuous improvement initiatives across the hospital system.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical education and training programs for healthcare staff
• Develop and evaluate educational content, learning objectives, and staff competency programs
• Support simulation-based training using mannequins and simulation software
• Collaborate with nurse leaders and department managers on staff development initiatives
• Identify educational gaps and improvement opportunities
• Assist with Quality Management and DNV-related educational activities
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
• Prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
• • Relevant experience/certifications may substitute temporarily with commitment to complete BSN within 3 years
• Master’s in Nursing preferred

Licensure & Certifications

Required:

• Current Oregon RN License
• BLS/Healthcare Provider CPR
• ACLS
• PALS
• CNOR

Experience

Required:

• 5 years hospital nursing experience
• 3 years' Operating Room (OR) experience
• Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills

Preferred:

• Clinical education or staff educator experience
• Teaching and curriculum development experience
• Experience with simulation training/manikins
• Knowledge of learning theories and instructional methods

• Knowledge of EHR systems preferred
