Attorney (Family Law)

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Attorney for our client with at least 3 years of legal experience in general litigation and family law.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload involving general litigation and family law matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, conferences, mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Handle matters involving divorce, custody, child support, parenting time, domestic relations, and related family-law issues.
• Handle general civil litigation matters, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, negotiation, and trial preparation.
• Develop case strategies based on applicable laws, facts, and client objectives.
• Conduct and respond to discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• 3 years of experience practicing law, with experience in both general litigation and family law.
• Active license and good standing with the applicable State Bar.
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and family law.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with court appearances, hearings, motions, discovery, and negotiations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a legal team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Trial and courtroom experience.
• Experience handling family law cases from intake through resolution.
• Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
• Experience managing a high-volume caseload.
• Proficiency with legal research databases and case management software.
