Job Title: MSW Social Worker
Unit: Medical Social Work / Multiple Units
Duration of Assignment: 13 Weeks
Location: Boston, MA – Boston Medical Center
Shift: Days, Monday–Thursday, 9-hour shifts; on-call required
Guarantee Hours: 36 hrs/week
Salary Range: $71- $78(Based on experience or Distance)
Job Duties:
- Provide medical social work services in an acute-care hospital setting.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments, SDOH evaluations, and abuse/neglect assessments.
- Provide discharge planning, care coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Support patients and families with complex medical and social needs.
- Provide clinical supervision, coaching, mentoring, and consultation to social work staff.
- Support onboarding, competency development, and staff education.
- Conduct chart audits and provide documentation feedback.
- Assist with quality improvement and implementation of practice changes.
- Develop training resources and support clinical excellence.
- Float to multiple units as needed.
Requirements:
- Active Massachusetts LICSW required at submission.
- Master’s degree in Social Work required.
- 5–10 years of experience preferred.
- Acute-care Medical Social Work experience required.
- Experience with psychosocial assessments, SDOH, discharge planning, and care coordination.
- BLS certification required.
- Clinical supervision/coaching experience preferred.
- Must be flexible to float between units.
- Academic Medical Center, Level 1 Trauma, or Safety Net Hospital experience preferred.
