Sr. Accountant

Syntax Talent Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory accounting and possess excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the inventory accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory reconciliations and adjustments.
- Analyze inventory variances and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Prepare detailed inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Assist in the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to inventory.
- Maintain and update inventory accounting systems, ensuring data integrity.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to inventory.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory accounting or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and inventory accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
