About the Role:
As a Senior Auditor, you will lead audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables and strong client relationships. You will supervise and review the work of junior staff, helping to develop their technical skills and professional judgment. Your work will directly support accurate financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients while contributing to the firm's reputation for thorough, timely, and reliable service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead audit engagements, including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and wrap-up for a range of mid-size clients.
- Review workpapers prepared by staff, ensuring compliance with professional standards and firm methodology.
- Perform complex audit procedures, including substantive testing and analytical reviews of key accounts and disclosures.
- Identify, document, and communicate audit findings, control deficiencies, and recommendations to managers and clients.
- Coordinate with client personnel to obtain necessary information and resolve audit issues in a timely manner.
- Draft and assist in the finalization of financial statements and related disclosures.
- Provide on-the-job coaching, guidance, and feedback to junior team members to support their development.
Key Requirements:
- 2 years of recent public accounting experience with a mid-size public accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and auditing standards.
- Proven experience executing audit engagements and managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and propose practical solutions.
- Clear, concise communication skills for interaction with clients and internal teams.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience across multiple industries within a public accounting environment.
- Prior responsibility for supervising or reviewing the work of junior staff.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools or advanced Excel functions in an audit context.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
- CPA candidate strongly preferred; eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is an advantage.
