About the Role:
As Audit Manager, you will oversee multiple audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables and strong client relationships. You will manage and develop audit staff, review complex work, and serve as a key point of contact for clients and partners. Your leadership will help drive engagement profitability, process improvements, and consistent compliance with professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, from planning and risk assessment through fieldwork and final reporting.
- Review workpapers, financial statements, and related deliverables prepared by staff and seniors for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor audit team members, providing on-the-job training, performance feedback, and support for professional development.
- Serve as the primary client contact during engagements, addressing issues, managing expectations, and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
- Identify and communicate audit findings, recommendations, and value-added insights to clients and firm leadership.
- Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and profitable delivery of services.
- Stay current on relevant accounting and auditing standards and help implement updates into firm methodologies and engagement procedures.
Key Requirements:
- Prior public accounting experience with a mid-size firm in an audit-focused role.
- Proven managerial and leadership experience overseeing audit teams and engagements.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and relevant auditing standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent client-facing skills, including clear communication, issue resolution, and relationship management.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with attention to detail.
Desirable Skills:
