Position Overview
Syntagma Group F&A is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Client Development Manager to help build and grow our finance & accounting contract/temporary staffing practice in the Boston market.
This is a high-impact, revenue-generating role focused on business development, client relationship management, and expanding a contract consulting book of business. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and wants the autonomy to own and scale a desk within a collaborative, boutique firm.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Drive new client acquisition across the Greater Boston finance & accounting market
- Build relationships with CFOs, Controllers, and finance leadership teams
- Generate job orders through outbound prospecting, networking, and referrals
- Negotiate terms of business and secure long-term client partnerships
Contract / Consulting Focus
- Develop and grow a contract/temporary staffing book of business
- Partner with recruiting team to place high-quality F&A consultants
- Manage the full lifecycle from intake to placement and client delivery
- Maintain consistent pipeline activity to support high-volume deal flow
Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client relationships
- Identify opportunities to expand accounts across multiple departments and functions
- Ensure a high level of service and delivery to drive repeat business
Collaboration & Team Partnership
- Work closely with recruiters to align on client needs and candidate pipelines
- Contribute to a team-first, high-performance culture
- Share market insights and support overall practice growth
Qualifications
Experience
- 2–6 years of experience in staffing, recruiting, or business development
- Experience in finance & accounting staffing strongly preferred
- Proven track record of revenue generation and client development
- Experience working a full desk or client-facing sales role

- Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
