Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Customer Service/Program Specialist to join a well-known organization in Kansas City. In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for clients and customers, providing exceptional support through various communication channels.
Duties
- Responds to applicant and participant inquiries regarding application and re-examination policies and procedures courteously and professionally; directs more complex questions to the appropriate staff.
- Schedules applicant appointments and provides clear guidance regarding program requirements, eligibility criteria, and available assistance. Counsels participants on unit affordability and housing options.
- Assists with coordinating background and other required information checks for tenants undergoing recertification and supports final eligibility verification.
- Contacts eligible applicants regarding available housing units and makes offers in accordance with Authority policies, procedures, and program requirements.
- Reviews and verifies participant information to determine continued eligibility for housing assistance, including evaluating unit and property owner eligibility for program participation.
Skills
- 2 years of experience in an office environment as a Customer Service Representative
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience
- Strong communication skills
