Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing company in Kansas City. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing key accounting functions and preparing financial reports.

Duties

• Handle general ledger accounting, including account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures with precision and adherence to deadlines.
• Ensure timely payment of all company bills, maintaining accurate records and tracking due dates.
• Provide support in preparing and filing taxes, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and deadlines.
• Work closely with ownership to effectively close the financial books at the end of each period

Experience

• 5 years of experience, Real Estate industry experienced preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar tools
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
