This hire sits directly under the Controller with high visibility and room to expand over time. The right person grows into a Controller-track role here.
Day-to-day is a mix of general ledger work, job cost accounting, and full-cycle accounting.
What You'll Own
- Monthly close, journal entries, and GL reconciliations across multiple entities
- Job cost analysis including labor burden, overhead allocation, and project profitability
- In-house payroll processing and multi-state payroll tax filings
- Audit prep, year-end tax schedules, and sales and use tax support
- Fixed asset maintenance and internal financial reporting
- Process improvement identification and workflow documentation
Profile
- 3 years of accounting experience, corporate or public accounting
- Job cost or construction/project-based accounting is a strong differentiator
- Tech-savvy with a process improvement mindset
- Strong communicator comfortable working with field operations teams
- Fully on-site five days a week with flexibility and fantastic work life balance. Rarely work over 40 hours here.
